How to Activate 4WD in the 4Runner

If you purchased a new Toyota 4Runner, there is a good chance that you will want to take it in off-road conditions and use the four wheel drive system. To engage this system, locate the knob next to the shifter. You can engage High 4WD while going under 50 miles per hour. First, take your foot off the gas. Then you will need to pull back on the lever until it goes all the way back to H4. If you need to go to Low 4, you will need to put your 4Runner in neutral, push from high 2 to high 4 then move the knob to the right to engage. You can not go above 2nd gear in L4 since it's for slower steeper conditions. Watch the video for a full demonstration.
